Karachi Circular Railway (KCR)

Part of a Consortium assigned to assist Transport & Mass Transit Department (TMTD) of Government of Sindh in the Revival of Karachi Circular Railway (KCR) Project. KCR project has recently been brought under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) framework by Government of Sindh (GOS) and the Federal Government.

The Consortium comprises technical, financial and legal consultants for this mega infrastructure project of national significance. The Consortium’s services broadly include Comprehensive Assistance, Preparation of Preliminary Design, Transaction Preparation, Bidder’s Solicitation and Transaction Advisory Services.

The assignment encompasses review of urban planning framework, traffic analysis zones, demand forecasting, conceptual designs and then preparation of preliminary designs including railway structures, stations and platforms and railway systems; and finally transaction preparation including project structuring, bid documents, bid solicitation and bidder’s selection. This also entails financial analysis, economic evaluation, and implementation plan.
