Dispute Resolution of one of the most contractually complex USD 800 Million New Islamabad International Airport

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The Principal of Promag was nominated on behalf of Civil Aviation Authority of Pakistan (CAAP) to the Dispute Resolution Board (DRB) for the Islamabad International Airport. The DRB remained extensively involved, for more than 4 years, in resolving a large number of high value and complex multi-party disputes/claims for this prestigious project, completed at a cost in excess of USD 800 Million. Significant areas of dispute included civil/infrastructure works (foundations, runways, aprons etc.), foreign currency impact, site access, security, extension of time, fluctuation of rates etc.

The Principal of Promag was also nominated by CAAP on the Arbitration Tribunal of new Multan International Airport (MIAP). The Tribunal had been constituted to arbitrate on disputes/claims related to the construction of the expansion/upgradation of facilities at the Multan International Airport (MIAP)
